This delightful bust, made from British gypsum plaster is sure to delight all lovers of Robert Burns

Robert Burns (1759 – 1796) also known as Robbie Burns, the Bard of Ayrshire,  was a Scottish poet, lyricist and a pioneer of the Romantic movement. His poem ‘Auld Land Syne’ is often sung at Hogmanay.

Around the base are items associated with Burns, his works and Scotland.  These include Bagpipes, Plough, Ink well and quill, Book, Whiskey bottle, Candle holder, timorous beastie and Burn’s Cottage.

The etch around the base reads:

“SHOULD AULD ACQUAINTANCES BE FORGOT AND NEVER BROUGHT TO MIND”
